Recipe – Peppermint Pattie Shake

Chilly winter days are often best spent by a warm fire with something delicious and warm to drink.  One of our favorite treats this time of year is our Peppermint Pattie Shake

Ingredients:

Directions: Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve cold or place in a microwave-safe beverage container and place in microwave on high for 2 minutes (or until warm). Add a peppermint stick or candy cane for garnish.

Recipe – Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread

With the holiday season in full swing, many friends, families, and businesses are holding holiday parties.  Many of these are potluck where everyone is requested to bring a favorite dish.  Desserts and breads are delicious options brought and welcomed by many of us.  This Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread is a great choice for your next holiday gathering or anytime!

Bread Ingredients:

Crumb Topping Ingredients:

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 oF.  Mix all bread ingredients in mixer at medium speed until thoroughly mixed.  Pour into a greased loaf pan.  Place in preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes.  While baking the bread, crumble the Revival Apple Cinnamon Celebration bars and mix with other topping ingredients until thoroughly mixed.  Remove bread after 45 minutes and cover with the crumb topping.  Return to oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.  Remove and allow to cool before serving.

Recipe – Tuna & Soy Pasta Garden Salad

Vegetables are an important part of our every day dietary routine.  According to the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans, most adults should get between 2.5 to 3.5 cups of vegetables every day.  Unfortunately, most of us don’t seem to eat enough vegetables on a regular basis.  This Tuna & Soy Pasta Garden Salad is delicious way to start getting plenty of vegetables in our diets.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 package Revival Soy Penne Pasta (6 oz.)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cucumber
  • 1/4 cup chopped yellow squash
  • 1/4 cup grape tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped zucchini
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper (green or red)
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • 1 can water-packed tuna
  • 1/4 cup fat-free Italian salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch of ground red pepper
  • salt, to taste

Directions: Cook Revival Soy penne pasta al dente, drain, and allow to cool slightly.  Drain water from tuna.  Mix all ingredients in a bowl and allow to chill.  Serve with your favorite Revival Soy baked soy protein chips and enjoy!  Optional: make this recipe your very own by substituting your own favorite vegetables for any of the ones listed above!

Recipe – Broccoli & Cheese Casserole

Holiday dinners are rapidly approaching, so many of us are in the process of planning our dinner menus.  While many of our holiday dinners consist of certain traditional foods, it can sometimes be fun and rewarding to try adding a new dish to the menu.  If you are in the mood to try something new, this Broccoli & Cheese Casserole might just fit the bill.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound frozen broccoli
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 bags Revival Lightly Salted Sunshine baked soy protein chips

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 oF.  Mix broccoli and cream of mushroom soup together.  Spread in bottom of 9″ x 13″ casserole dish.  Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.  Cut cream cheese into thin slices and place on top of casserole.  Crumble the Revival Lightly Salted Sunshine baked soy protein chips and spread evenly on top for a crunchy topping.  Bake at 350 oF for 40 – 45 minutes.  Serve hot and enjoy!
