Necessity Is The Mother Of Invention
It was 1996 when Dr. Aaron Tabor decided to help his mom by redefining the “change of life”.
At 48 I needed help but “at 50, I was a total wreck!” Suzanne explains. “Fifty is a ‘good number,’ unless it represents the number of hot flashes you’re having each night, the number of steps it takes you to be completely worn out or the dress size you fear may be yours. This is not much of an exaggeration for the condition I felt my life was in. After raising the kids I thought I would be kicking up my heels. Boy, I needed some real kind of relief! Revival literally gave me my life back and I felt better than I had felt in years.
Like most women her age, Suzanne Tabor experienced the discomforts of menopause, including hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, weight gain and more. Completely frustrated, Suzanne called her son Aaron (Dr. Tabor), who, at the time, was a medical student at Johns Hopkins Medical School. He began using his resources to search for a natural solution to help his mom. He investigated numerous medical studies which indicated significantly lower rates of menopausal hot flashes among Asian women when compared to women in the USA. Dr. Tabor learned that soy has many benefits, not only for women, but also for men. While some Asians may consume up to 6 servings of soy foods a day, the American diet contains almost no soy protein or soy isoflavones.
Immediately, Suzanne began trying various forms of soy from her local grocery and health food stores, but like most Americans, she found it too hard to consume enough soy, and found its chalky taste and gritty texture unbearable. So together they created Revival to rescue her from a “mid-life meltdown.” Using his medical knowledge and Suzanne’s discriminating taste buds, they spent nearly two years perfecting the first naturally-concentrated Revival Soy blend with about the same amount of soy isoflavones found in 6 cups of a typical soy milk. Within days of use his mom began feeling better. Suzanne recalls, “I suddenly had more energy without feeling hungry and my menopausal discomforts nearly vanished in just 4 weeks. I now have the best skin, hair and nail appearance of my life and a slim waistline that I love.”*
*Individual results vary. Typical hot flash reduction was nearly 40% in just 12 weeks in a clinical study funded in part by Physicians Laboratories.

In The News
Everyone is buzzing about Revival Soy’s great taste and healthy products!
“The following are some of the very best soy products that we’ve tried in the past few months. We suspect that tastier offerings like those might be one of the reasons that sales in the category are expected to exceed $4 billion this year.”
“It’s Soy Good.”
“Health benefits aside, we love Revival Baked Pasta Soy Chips for a very important scientific reason – they taste good. They’re also low in calories and carbs.”
“Lose 27 lbs by Thanksgiving!”
“So with all the new and sometimes conflicting information out there, how do you figure out which diet will give you the best results? Just do what Sally Colon did… ‘I needed something that was going to give me a lot of energy, because I was already feeling tired and stressed, and that’s what made me start overeating in the first place… I’m also a big dessert person It would be a losing battle for me to try to give up sweets entirely.”
“Since low-fat diets made her sleepy and a high-protein approach ruled out sugar, she settled on a soy-based program she heard about at work. Sally sipped a strawberry shake and it revved her up so much, she was hooked… Within two months she was two sizes smaller…”
“Research published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that shake dieters lost nearly twice as much weight over 12 weeks and had kept off six times more weight after a year than traditional dieters using an equal-calorie plan… ”

“FEVER PITCH: Functional Foods.”
“Promising benefits that range from defeating dehydration to alleviating joint pain, functional foods are marketed to play up their health and wellness benefits. It was, in fact, a search for something to relieve his mother’s menopause discomfort that led Dr. Aaron Tabor to create his company, Revival Soy. Founding the company in 1998 while he was in medical school, Tabor wanted to create a line of shakes, bars, snacks and such that would harness the positive health effects of soy but taste good, too. Tabor patented the process he’d found for isolating the most beneficial elements of soy and, adding them to his products, began putting the Revival Soy products through clinical trials. To date, the company has 20 such trials completed or underway, offering evidence of the products health benefits. “I’ve been able to touch hundreds of thousands of people now, (compared to) if I’d just gone into clinical practice,” says Tabor, 34. Selling direct to consumers via a toll-free number and the internet, Kernersville, North Carolina-based Revival Soy has annual sales of more than $20 million.”
“Just What the Doctor Ordered.”
“Revival Soy is doctor-formulated soy protein without the chalky taste. Trust us, once you try the yummy bars, shakes, chips, pasta and soy nuts you’ll be hooked. How sweet it is.”
“Look for nibbles that offer a nutritional benefit. Revival Baked Pasta Soy Chips come in fun flavors, and have 7 grams of soy protein per 110-calorie serving.”
“Revival Baked Pasta Soy Chips Come in New Flavors.”
“Many Americans are guilty of buying convenient snacks full of fat and sugars out of vending machines at work or on the road. Even worse, many American parents are guilty of feeding their kids the same junk food for the sake of time and ease. A much more healthful and equally convenient choice is soy chips, which are more filling and lower in fat, calories, and carbs than regular potato chips. Compared with the leading retail brand of baked potato chips, Revival Baked Pasta Soy Chips have 50% fewer carbs and 350% more protein per serving.”
“Want to offer your clients some healthy and guilt-free munchies to tide them over while waiting for treatments? Consider Revival Baked Pasta Soy Chips from Revival Soy. A tasty alternative to the fruit traditionally offered in spas, they’re lower in fat, calories, and carbs than regular potato chips and come in a variety of flavors.”
“Revival Soy packs six servings of soy protein into a one portion shake or bar and its products include soy nuts and chips. How do they taste? Well, we intended to photograph more stuff but we ate it instead.”

Revival Brings the “Amber Alert” Missing Child Program to North Carolina
Revival Products Inc, Physicians Laboratories, was instrumental in the funding of the North Carolina Amber Alert system. In 2002 they provided $150,000 to complete the funding of the statewide implementation of the North Carolina Child Alert Notification system, which was subsequently converted to the North Carolina Amber Alert program on June 12, 2003.
“We are extremely gratified to play a role in this process, and it is our hope that a statewide Amber Alert program will effectively protect the children of North Carolina,” says Aaron Tabor, M.D., Founder of Revival. “We hope that we never need this system, but it is an effective means of mobilizing the entire state to help find missing children. We challenge other businesses to do the same for their state.”

We received an email from a soldier stationed in Iraq who had received a care package from home. Included in the care package were some Revival bars. And, while he loved the bars, there was just one problem: He needed more – not just for himself but for the other soldiers in his unit. We thought this would be a great chance to show appreciation for our troops by sending some care packages of our own. Revival is proud to support and honor these and other troops.
